Where Are You?

Posted in Repentance | 4 Comments

It is a question that can be asked and answered in so many different contexts.
It can be asked by a mother who feigns confusion during a game of hide and seek.
It can be asked by a wife as she sits across from her husband as he reads the news.
It can be asked by a child who gets temporarily lost in a store.

Where are you?

It was asked once before.
Long ago in a Garden.
Except the Person asking the question already knew the answer.
The question was really a call to relationship.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ” “You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman.  “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as He was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” (Genesis 3: 1-9)

God is omnipotent.
God is omnipresent.
God is omniscient.
God is holy.

There is nothing that God cannot do.
There is nothing that God does not know.
There is no place that God cannot be.
There is no other One as holy as He.

God knew where Adam was.
God’s question was not from lack of knowledge.
God’s question begged to be answered because God desires relationship.
Where are you? is a question that calls and demands an answer.

God can ask that very question of us today.
Where are you, Church?
Where are you, My people?
Where are you, Body of Christ?

We have all watched a dog lying on the ground.
All at once the dog rolls over, and all four paws are up in the air.
The dog may wiggle around as if to scratch his back.
The dog may simply lie there as if to say, I need my belly rubbed.

This puts the dog in a very vulnerable position.
It is a position of trust.
It can also be simply a position of sleep.
The belly rubbing lulls the dog to sleep and he remains in that position.

God’s people have rolled over.
God’s people are lying there being amused by the mundane.
God’s people would rather have their belly rubbed than battle for the Kingdom.
God’s people have fallen asleep.

The Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood has been caught on video.
The nation’s largest abortion provider sells body parts of aborted babies.
The undercover video, which runs nine minutes long, describes the process of acquisition.
One cannot watch the video without being sickened.

For example, so I had 8 cases yesterday. And I knew exactly what we needed, and I kinda looked at the list, and said OK, this 17- weeker has 8 lams, and this one – so I knew which were the cases that were probably more likely to yield what we needed, and I made my decisions according to that too, so it’s worth having a huddle at the end of the day, and that’s what I do. (Dr. Deborah Nucatola)

This is a baby that is being dissected.
Dissected for his or her parts.
The doctor admitted that livers are big, along with hearts, and lower extremities.
The discussion sounded as if paint colors were being discussed instead of dismemberment.

What happened to the Hippocratic oath that all doctors were expected to take?
After doing some research, I discovered that a modernized version of the oath is taken.

The Hippocratic Oath is inadequate to address the realities of a medical world that has witnessed huge scientific, economic, political, and social changes, a world of legalized abortion, physician-assisted suicide…

Nucatola, Director of Medical Services at the National Office made remarks about the law.
The Federal (Partial Birth) Abortion Ban is a law, and laws are up for interpretation.
There it is.
Humanism. Relativism. Antinomianism.

We are our own god.
What may be true for me is not necessarily true for you.
We are against the law.
It is the unbiblical practice of living without regard to the righteousness of God.

Where are you, Church?

Have we become so used to these atrocities that we don’t even see them anymore?
As Nucatola talked of body parts, she ate her lunch and drank her wine.
She spoke as coldly and as factually as if she was reporting on the weather.
She kept referring to the case; never the woman, never the baby.

Why are body parts even being sold at all?
How can you sell the parts of a glob of tissue?
How can you talk about the lungs, heart, and liver of a non-person?
The serpent’s imprint is all over this.

Did God really say?
You will not surely die.
You will be like God.
Your eyes will be opened.

Sadly, sleepwalkers’ eyes can indeed be opened but they fail to see anything.
They walk around in a daze and walk around unaware.
How long must this continue before we are outraged?
How long will we remain on our backs waiting for the culture to rub our belly?

I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child. (Mother Theresa)

Partial Birth Abortion is nothing new.
The Bible speaks of it.

The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah, “When you help the Hebrew women in childbirth and observe them on the delivery stool, if it is a boy, kill him; if it is a girl, let her live.” (Exodus 1:15,16)

How would the sex of the baby be known unless the baby’s presentation was changed?
The same thing is happening today.
Babies are being turned to a breech position so that the body parts will not be crushed.
Dr. Nucatola said so.

Where are you, Church?
God knows where we are.
God is not pleased with our silence.
A child made in His image is being killed for their body parts.

Where are you?
Where are you?
Roll over.
It is time for the belly rubbing to stop.

God’s Law is not up for interpretation.

    • We have, Carol! I pray that we wake up from our sleep and speak up. We have been silent long enough!

  1. I too saw that video and couldn’t believe it. The uncaring, business-like attitude of Dr Nucatola was frightening. As you said, when will this country wake up, get up, and stand up for God’s laws instead of making our own sinful ones? We must pray and get involved.

    • Sue,
It is appropriate to have righteous anger over the atrocity of abortion. It is not appropriate to do nothing. First and foremost, prayer is needed. Then take action as God leads, with grace and boldness. A nation cannot be blessed that kills its children.
