About the Listener

Every day there are moments we miss, there is beauty we fail to see.
The moments come and go and we cannot get them back.
We can pray to become more aware.
Aware of the things our Sovereign God is doing all around us.

God does magnificent things each day.
Often, His magnificence is found in the ordinary.
We tend to yawn, when we should be rejoicing.
We tend to sleep, when we should be wide awake.

The whispers of His movement, the seemingly silent, imperceptible, sovereign moments that happen each day, the ones we often miss in our busyness and our self absorption.

As a writer, I am so grateful to God for allowing me to see those moments.
Moments when He is whispering quietly in the ordinary.
I am grateful to God for giving me the words to express what I see and hear.
It is only through Him that these whispers can be recorded each day.

My prayer is that after a while you will begin to see and hear His whispers, too.
You will become more aware of the ordinary ways He makes Himself known.
In those ordinary moments, you will find Him.
Your only response will be to worship and praise the Whisperer.

And these are but the outer fringe of His works; how faint the whisper we hear of Him! Who then can understand the thunder of His power? (Job 26:14)
