We wonder where to turn

Knight Dreams

Upon her mother’s knee,
Dolls and tea cups, ribbons and bows,
The occasional climb of a tree.

Off to school, the recess yard,
Jump rope on the street,
Dreaming of her wedding day,
When he would sweep her off her feet.
